What every model-year page answers

What have owners reported?

Complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped into 21 parts of the car, with the median mileage at which things failed and owners' own words.

Is there a recall or an open investigation?

Every recall campaign and federal investigation that covers the year. Do-not-drive and park-outside warnings come first.

How does the year compare with its generation?

Each year is set against the other years of the same generation over the same number of years on the road, so an older car is not marked down for having had longer to collect complaints.

Counts are not adjusted for sales; free sales figures by model year do not exist. How we compare

What does it cost to run?

EPA fuel economy and yearly fuel cost for each version, electric models in MPGe, and NHTSA crash test ratings.
